The aim of the association is cultural exchange and help the Russian speaking population to adapt to and live in the United Kingdom.

We have regular meetings where everyone who has an interest can join, and meet new friends.

We are organising:

- an introduction to work of Russian art, literature etc.

- concerts and celebration evenings

- presentations of Russian authors

We invite not only Russian speakers to our events, but anyone else who has an interest and wishes to join us. We have plans to organise meetings where we can introduce the British history, culture and traditions and to find out more about our particular region.

There are lots of Russian speaking people in Newcastle. Most of the people coming to the United Kingdom have little knowledge of the language and little or no understanding of the culture.

Communication with the British population, learning culture and traditions will help the Russian speaking population to adapt quicker to the life in the United Kingdom and to have friendly relationships with British citizens.
